My Background

Growing up and working in the family business taught me so many valuable lessons. I was taught that with a lot of hard work, you can find your way if you have a passion and a vision.

Being a first-generation American, I was raised to never take anything for granted. My parents came to America after World War II with essentially nothing. With years of extreme hard work and persistence, they made a great life in this country. After returning from the Korean War, my Dad started out as an apprentice in the steel fabrication industry. After years of learning the trade, my parents established a Steel Fabrication business in Northern Colorado. What started out as a Mom and Pop shop grew to a business with over 70 employees at two different locations. I’m sure my parents look back and remember what little they came with, but my Dad always taught me to look forward towards a vision.

After studying economics at the University of Colorado in the late 80’s, I worked in the family business for 11 years. While attending CU, my passion became the financial markets. After leaving the family business, I began my career as a Financial Advisor in October of 2000. This was the end of the 90’s Tech bubble and right before September 11th. Many viewed this period as “tough mountains to climb”, but I believed it was a great time for an education in the financial markets.

I’m a native Coloradoan and moved to Northern Colorado in 1988. My wife, Carrie, has been a Ft. Collins Policewoman for over 20 years. My oldest son Colby is married and works with me at Peakview Wealth Management. My youngest son Garrett graduated from CU and lives in Denver. My oldest step-daughter Payton graduated from Colorado Mesa University and lives in Northern Colorado. My youngest step-daughter Megan is married and lives in Cheyenne.

My Biography

I began my financial career with A.G. Edwards in 2000. After six years, I became the co-branch manager and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. A.G. Edwards was purchased by Wachovia in 2007. Shortly thereafter, through the Financial Crisis of 2008-2009, the firm was purchased by Wells Fargo Advisors. Soon after, I was recognized as a Senior Investment Advisor – Investment Officer and earned the prestigious Premier Advisor designation.

I truly felt the next best step for my clients and myself was to become an Independent Advisor. In 2018, I affiliated with LPL Financial and formed Peakview Wealth Management. I have a wealth of experience in managing your pre and post retirement needs, the special needs of high net worth clients in the areas of portfolio management, wealth transfer, business retirement and succession planning, charitable giving and estate investment planning.

My Background

Growing up around family steel fabrication, animal health, and wealth management businesses, I learned from an early age that working hard and having a positive vision are two extremely important attributes in business and in life. These attributes help you build meaningful relationships and make a true impact in the world.

I was born and raised in Northern Colorado. I graduated from Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins and then the University of Colorado in Boulder. After several years of working in Boulder, I came home by shifting my career to Northern Colorado in 2021. Serving clients at Peakview Wealth Management excites me every day. I also serve on the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado's Finance Committee and as Secretary of the Loveland Big Thompson Kiwanis Club. I met my wife Danielle at CU and she is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Greeley. We enjoy spending ample time with family, serving together at our church, and staying active in the outdoors.

My Biography

I started in the wealth management industry in 2018. Before joining Peakview Wealth Management, I worked on multiple advisory teams for high-net-worth individuals at two of Colorado's largest independent wealth management firms.
